At SOLR AI, our mission is to empower solar and battery installers with our innovative AI products, which automate the initial assesment and proposal process for renewable energy systems for residential homes. By harnessing our computer vision models, fuelled by a multimodal array of data including satellite and local weather, we aim to reduce the time, cost and complexity involved in installations, helping businesses to scale rapidly to meet the growing market demand for renewables while contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Launching our new renewable energy platform Enerwise
Learning first hand the process of finding information on residential renewable energy solutions then looking for installers for Solar PV, Battery and car charging. It became clear there were some considerable pain points experienced by both the customer and installer side from initial sale through to final install date. This experience catalysed the desire for solutions.

With the vision to leverage cutting edge AI to create a novel solution for the solar industry
A large library of ariel satellite images were manually annotated to segment each roof face and identify obstructions to train a region based convolutional neural network.
A team of 20 contractors were brought on, building a data annotation team in order to train a much larger library of roof tops to further train the computer vision model enhancing capability and accuracy.
Intensive research on market insights, the latest in research and technological innovation we could utilise, inc developments In open source computer vision models. Further development on our multimodal architecture. Further validation of the problem space and building our minimal viable product to bring to the market.
Accepted into Microsoft for start-ups program

We joined Connectd enabling us access to an array of benefits including world leading board advisors. 4 Board advisors were brought on spanning technology, finance, economics and marketing who all bring their considerable industry expertise to guide on the strategy of SOLR AI
Barclays Eagle Labs
Joining Eagle Labs, SOLR AI gained access to mentoring, a UK‑wide network of ecosystem managers and the Barclays Demo Directory that connects startups with investors and corporate partners
Barclays Innovation Hub
In June 2025 Barclays opened a new Innovation Hub in Shoreditch as part of the Eagle Labs network. The hub, developed in collaboration with partners including Google and NVIDIA, is designed to accelerate growth in the UK tech sector. SOLR AI moved into an office space there at launch joining an environment fostering collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts
Google For Start Ups
SOLR AI was accepted into the Google for Startups Cloud Program. Google’s programme provides financial, technical and business benefits that scale with startups; it offers product and technical support, dedicated mentors and industry experts, plus Google Cloud and Firebase costs covered up to $200,000 (or up to $350,000 for AI startups) over the first two years
